Description of the Course Material

This resource can be defined as a specifically developed piece of teaching material. The source provides the user with a breakdown of module components including - Learning Goals, Context for Use, Description and Teaching Manuals.
The module will aid in teaching students how energy from wind (atmospheric circulation) is formed through solar radiation, gravity, and the spinning of Earth. It is then taught how humans have historically harnessed winds up to present day. The basic principles of the present technology are discussed and the social context for their developed is explored. Systems thinking is an emphasised theme in this module, with the course manual offering a description of how it may be approached as a learning outcome. It makes reference to achieving student understanding of feedback loops as they relate to wind.
Throughout the manual there are multiple active links directing the user to extensive illustrated reading for students, work handouts, spreadsheets, quiz questions, examples of how to deal with poor student answers and so on.
