Summary
Chemistry education must be reorganised to face the challenges of this century. A contribution comes from a novel interdisciplinary course presenting the features of Complex Systems. Complex Systems are described through out-of-equilibrium thermodynamics, nonlinear dynamics, and natural computing.

Relevance for Complex Systems Knowledge
Complexity Science deals with the interdisciplinary description of Complex Systems. The study and teaching of Complex Systems are fundamental to face the XXI Century Challenges. Non-equilibrium thermodynamics, non-linear dynamics, and Natural Computing are proposed as three theories that have transdisciplinary features. They are considered relevant to understand the behavior of Complex Systems.
Point of Strength
It is necessary to spread interdisciplinary courses on Complex Systems to prepare the next generations to tackle the XXI Century Challenges.
