Main technical features and functionalities
GoldSim is a software solution for modeling complex systems. It is a probabilistic simulation software developed by GoldSim Technology Group in 2021. This software uses the Monte Carlo simulation to support decision-making and risk analysis using quantitative and qualitative data, as well as representing the risks and the uncertainties that derive from all complex systems. This software allows users to build models of complex systems and it can be used for different research and teaching purposes. It is optimal and easy to create powerful simulation models that can be applied to different subjects and needs of the users. Goldsim is designed to explore models and results in engineering, science and business by simulating future performance. For instance, this software has been extensively used for risk analysis, and some of its applications have concerned water resource management, radioactive waste management, aerospace mission risk analysis and more. This software is used worldwide by commercial & government organizations.
There are different versions of the GoldSim software: GoldSim, GoldSim Research, GoldSim Player and GoldSim Academic. The two latter are free version for teaching and student use, while the others are downloadable only by purchase.
Examples on how to use them to analyse Complex Systems
GoldSim can be used to analyse and simulate complex systems models. It is mainly used for educational purposes, and it easily adapt to different subjects, from natural science (biology, geoscience, environmental science) to physics, architecture and engineering, as well as for sustainable development teaching. This software has been tested and reviewed over the years as a teaching tool, but also for research and business applications. The official website offers tutorials, free online courses, periodic webinars, extensive documentation and materials and consulting support to allow users to get the full experience with its tools and appliances.
